We are excited about our annual Mexican Independence Day Celebration, a fun-filled event for the entire family! We would like to extend an invitation to you and/or your organization to participate in this year’s parade, which is keeps growing and growing!
We believe your presence and participation will assist us in educating Minnesotans about the Latino community. The parade kicks off a full-day of diverse and family-friendly events.
Line up begins at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18th, at the parking lot of Wonder, 1401 E. Lake Street and Kaplan Bros. parking lot, at 1414 E. Lake Street. The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. and runs from Lake St. to Clinton Ave. Nearly 50 groups of participants, including dancers, musicians, and vehicles, are expected to participate, so don't miss out! Fill out the Online Parade Application and email it to us or download and print the Parade Application and mail it back to our office (Urban Ventures/GoLatino!, 2924 4th Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN 55408). Do not forget to add your $50.00 cleaning deposit.
All entrants are eligible to win a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place plaque for “Best of Show”, which will be judged by a panel of representatives from our major sponsors, including State Farm Insurance, Urban Ventures, General Mills, McDonalds, and the Minnesota Twins. Check out our Judging Criteria letter.
